Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using jdpdfs.in (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

Service Description

JD PDFs provides a suite of free, browser-based PDF tools including (but not limited to): merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, highlighting, signing, converting, and editing PDF files.

Key characteristics of the Service

• All file processing occurs locally in your web browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. No files are uploaded to our servers.
• The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
• No account, registration, or login is required to use any tool.
• The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, JD PDFs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal and commercial PDF-processing needs.

You are permitted to

• Use any tool on JD PDFs to process your own files or files you are legally authorised to handle.
• Use the Service for both personal and commercial purposes (e.g., processing invoices, contracts, reports).
• Access the Service from any device or location.
• Link to the Service from your website or share it with others.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service in any manner that is unlawful, harmful, or otherwise prohibited by these Terms.

Specifically, you must not

• Use the Service to process, distribute, or create documents containing illegal content (including content that infringes copyrights, contains malware, or violates applicable laws).
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the Service.
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.

Intellectual Property

Our intellectual property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by JD Group and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. This includes, but is not limited to, the JD PDFs name, logo, website design, and underlying code (excluding open-source components).

You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without our prior written permission.

Your files and content

Because all file processing occurs locally in your browser and your files are never transmitted to us, you retain full ownership of all documents and files you process using the Service. JD Group does not claim any rights over the content of files processed through our tools.

Open-source acknowledgements

JD PDFs uses the following open-source libraries, each governed by their respective licences: PDF-lib (MIT), PDF.js (Apache 2.0), and Fabric.js (MIT). We gratefully acknowledge the contributions of these projects and their communities.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• The results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected.
• The Service will meet your specific requirements.

No professional advice

Nothing on JD PDFs constitutes legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Do not rely on information obtained through the Service as a substitute for professional guidance.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JD Group and its operators, affiliates, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, files, or documents resulting from use of the Service.
• Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
• Loss of goodwill or reputation.
• Any other intangible losses.

This applies whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Because JD PDFs is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed INR 0 (zero).

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not warrant the offerings of any of these entities or individuals, or their websites.

You acknowledge and agree that JD Group shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.

Termination

Because the Service requires no account, there is nothing to "terminate" in the traditional sense. However, JD Group reserves the right to:

• Block or restrict access to the Service from specific IP addresses, regions, or networks if we detect abuse or violations of these Terms.
• Suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including (without limitation) ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gujarat, India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms unenforceable or invalid as a whole. Such provisions shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make them enforceable.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
